The Academy Art Museum is a veritable community arts center, providing an array of national and local visual art exhibitions, performances, workshops, and classes. It has shown works by master painters Thomas Cole and Asher Brown Durand, hosted productions from local dance companies, and regularly presents a renowned concert and lecture series. The Museum resides downtown, just south of Spring Hill Cemetery.
